Relationship Coaching

Moving together as a couple and committing your shared goals to an action plan will keep your relationship fresh and exciting.

As a leading authority with over 20 years of experience in couple counselling, it is amazing to see couples reconnect emotionally and sort out the difficulties around communication. However, as we approach the end of a couple counselling process, coaching skills start to emerge. When we bring these skills into our process, we see the possibility of achieving exciting goals.

Relationship coaching focuses on:

  • Looking at what’s changed and committing the changes to paper
  • How do the couple ensure they don’t go back to behaviours that created problems in the past
  • What needs to happen to make sure they learn to plan together on a regular basis

When couples start to answer these questions, they take huge steps to achieving shared goals. It’s an exciting time!

A couples ‘bucket list’

Couples are also asked to design a bucket list of what they want to achieve as a couple. We then set the goals for them to move towards and commit to putting effort into achieving them. We also set a timescale to achieve these couple goals and devise a plan of action that will help them to progress towards them. This part of the process is very powerful. For some couples, giving their relationship some focus and planning is all they need to become more connected.

“Florence not only helped us as a couple but also helped me to develop confidence as an individual. Although she must see lots of clients, I was always amazed when I walked through the door, it was as if I was the only person that she was helping by always knowing exactly where our last session ended. It felt so personal. She is very approachable, and I felt I could tell her things I never thought I would tell ANYONE! Florence can identify your needs and goals even when you don’t know them yourself and steers you in the right direction to achieve them. The sessions do not feel like you are talking formally to a professional who is only doing their job, but to a friend that knows you and what you need and genuinely cares. I would and have recommended Florence to many people and they are all the shared opinion as myself. Florence has given me the confidence to believe in myself and to deal with any fears/problems that may arise – A Godsend.”
